If you've done the EOTN quests you should be able to hand in your Heroes Handbook for a good chunk of rep (14 pages will net you 12,000 points) just redo the repeatables with a new book and cash in, shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. 24,000 + what you have already should take you to 26,000 which is R5.
It may be annoying.. but it's FAST.

Enemies = Charr. Place = Anywhere in Charr Homelands. Build = Any build that you can use to kill Charr.
You do realize that you don't need to solo farm to get rep points, right? No special build required. Just take your H&H, get the bounty at the nearest Vanguard shrine, and kill stuff.
Sacnoth Valley is a good place to do that. Take a Seige Devourer. Clear the place out except for the fort, then go kill the bosses in the fort for the max boss bonus. That will get you lots of points. If you use the Devourer, then your build doesn't matter at all.

well prior to updates for vanquishing, there must have been a means in which to farm points (other than clearing)?
I'm in relatively the same boat (looking to max the title). I'll be grinding through the Master of the North title soon and I'm sure this will help add to the overall rank but I don't believe it will max it out. I've got several other rep points to farm and most likely will donate the books from the Master of the North to those causes (they are worse off in terms of rank/ lvl). I know folks suggest the layer of the snowman for Deldrimor, raptor farm for Ausra but the suggestions for Norn and Vanguard are now vanquish? Are there any other alternatives to consider?

Norn is best done 2 ways
1. go with a keg farmer and blow everything up in hm
2. go with someone with the path of revelations quest - spawns 6 extra bosses outside olafstead .
You can easily do both at once and if done right and leave bosses till last u get one big boss bonus ( bonus x6 ).
Out of all the areas id say vanguard is the hardest to farm in the sense that the other 3 have a way to farm easily - only way i do vanguard now is via books for now then i`ll probably do same for hm.
